Irrigation Technician

Kore Ventures Inc. services the entire Vancouver Lower Mainland, from Squamish to Chilliwack offering irrigation and landscape lighting services. Our specialists can design a lawn irrigation system or an outdoor landscape lighting system for residential or commercial properties.

We are currently looking for two Irrigation Technicians to join our team on our many projects across the Lower Mainland.

Position: Irrigation Technician

Work Hours:  40 hrs. per week

Number of vacancies: 2

Wage: $27.00

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Work Location: reporting to main office located at 110 – 19140 28 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3Z 6M2.

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
• Install, test, and maintain irrigation equipment including sprinklers, water lines, and suction valves using hand and power tools.
• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work.
• Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines.
• Installing electrical timers.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts.
• Completing progress reports and associated paperwork.

Requirements/Education and other requirements

• Some secondary school education is required.
• On-the-job training and several months of related installing, repairing, or servicing experience are required.
• Organized, self-disciplined, motivated and able to work independently.
• Interpersonal communication skills, communicate effectively both written and orally.
• A strong work ethic, commitment to team culture, positive attitude.
