Description
A family in Kitchener is seeking an in-home child care giver for two boys, ages 14 and 15. The position requires coordination with the parents to plan and coordinate meal preparation, organize transportation and assistance with school work and online e-learning for high school.
Qualifications include 7 to 12 months of childcare experience, high school diploma/certificate, basic First Aid or CPR or willing to obtain. Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening, safe driver check and one reference in childcare or related work. The candidate must be able to communicate in English and read and write in the English language.
Duties include supervision of the children, tend to general needs, meal preparation, ensure safety during home schooling, supervise homework, transport children to medical appointments and maintain a safe home environment in the absence of the parents.
The candidate must have their own transportation as there is no public transit.
The position includes 2 weeks of paid holidays per year, statutory holidays in Ontario and WSIB coverage.
We will attempt to accomodate for the chosen candidate.
Wages are $15.50 per hour for forty hours per week.
