Job duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise housekeeping staff, providing guidance and assigning tasks to room attendants, cleaners, and laundry personnel.
- Ensure adherence to hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Conduct inspections to identify areas that require improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel policies.
- Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Create and manage work schedules for housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage and rotation.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and staff attendance.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular training and audits for a safe working environment.
- Assist in controlling housekeeping expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient guest services and hotel operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
