We are looking for Head Baker for The Food Dudes Inc. located at 111 Princes Boulevard, Toronto, ON M6K 3C3, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the overnight shift, bread and baked goods production

• Ability to work independently, be a team player, manage complexity, work

efficiently, be flexible, responsible and have a positive attitude

• Onboard and train new bakers to follow a recipe/identify and notify potential

errors, execute recipes from start to finish, and meet product quality standards

• Participates and initiates in providing creative solutions for any hurdles and

continuous improvement

• Build and Contribute to a positive team culture. Set an example for the Senior

and Junior pastry chefs / bakers

• Ensures all food is prepared to the standards as set out by the Exec Pastry Chef

• Ensures cleanliness and strict sanitization of pastry department, main and

restaurant level

• Ensures all food preparation equipment is being used safely and correctly and

that it is cleaned and maintained after each use

• Initiate Prep Lists for overnight shifts, bread and baked goods production and

assign tasks for overnight and production team members

• Initiate ideas and new recipes for seasonal menus and have the flexibility

to produce different styles of bread and baked goods as per guest and client

requests

Prerequisites:

Education:                                Secondary certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills:                 2 years to less than 3 years in the food industry.

Language                                 English

Physical:

Hourly Rate: $ 18.00 to 22.00 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits:  4 % Vacation Pay
