We are now open to hire a Hardwood floor covering installer to join our team.  All candidates require to speak English. Knowledge of Ukrainian language is an asset. 

 

Position responsibilities and duties:

 

your duties and responsibilities will include:

-Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures;

-Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered;

-Measure, cut and fasten underlay;

-Measure, cut and install carpeting using hand or machine stitcher, seaming iron, bonding tape or other bonding materials;

-Prepare floors for installations;

-Measure, cut and install hardwood on floors such as: strip floors, block floors or prank floor, using glue, staples, nails and other means; 

-Installation of baseboard;

-Cut and fit hardwood around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools;

-Remove and replace damaged boards;

-Remove existing floor coverings;

-Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings;

-May estimate material and labour costs.

 

Required qualifications and experience 

 

–  At least secondary school education

– A minimum of 5 years of related hardwood floor installation

– Must communicate in English

– Second language (Ukrainian) is an asset
