Wages: $22.00 per hour, 40-44 hours a week

Powerline Plus Ltd. is a privately owned utility contractor with a proud history established in 1990. We focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.
We are currently looking for a General Office Clerk to join our team based out of Scarborough Ontario. The General Office Clerk would support our workers prepare correspondence, reports, statements and other material, operate office equipment, answer telephones, verify, record and process forms and documents such as contracts and requisitions and perform general clerical duties according to our established procedures.
This role involves a high level of administrative support, scheduling, coordinating, and multitasking, to support management and staff members.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person
· Prepare correspondence, reports, statements, forms, presentations, applications and other documents
· Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations;
· Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
· Send and receive messages and documents using fax machine or electronic mail
· Maintain inventory of office supplies, order supplies as required and arrange for servicing of office equipment
· Assist in preparing meeting agendas, attend meetings, and record minutes
· Assist with administrative procedures such as budget submissions, contracts administration and work schedules
· Sort, process and verify receipts, expenditures, forms and other documents
· Organize the flow of work for other office support workers
· Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as preparing invoices and bank deposits.
· Order office supplies and maintain inventory;
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· 1 year of previous clerical experience or College degree in Human Resources, Administration or related field is preferred but not required;
· Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner;
· Technical administrative experience is an asset;
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
· Must be proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite (required).
