Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in the Food industry

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Noisy

Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Excellent oral communication, Team player

Work Setting: Restaurant

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): ProServe program is an asset

Specific Skills

• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food,
• Ensure food service and quality control,
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage,
• Prepare and submit reports,
• Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres,
• Establish work schedules.
• Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet work schedules,
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
