Position: Supervisor, Food Services
Working Hours: 30hrs per week
Wage: $14 – $16 per hour
Benefit: 4% Vacation Pay from Gross Salary, Overtime will be paid

Masirang Enterprise Ltd is a clean, natural modern-style sushi deli. With years of main chef experience in Japanese and western food, the founder brings a menu boasting a variety of fresh, tasty selections of modern fusion specialties at very reasonable prices for locals. It was opened in Feb 2020 in a newly built food court in Fresh St. Market – Vancouver House. Masirang Enterprise Ltd provides top-of-the-line products in an atmosphere of discovery and exploration where new, authentic, local, organic, and exclusively sourced becomes everyday shopping.
Main duties
• Oversees the daily food service in all areas of the kitchen and serving bar
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on a daily basis
• Coordinate frequent workplace inspections
• Maintain the supplies and inventory by estimating and ordering supplies required for smooth operation
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained
• Ensure strict compliance with restaurant’s standards in all aspects of service
• Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised
• Make sure every guest is greeted, thanked for their visit and invited to come back
• Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly
• Other duties as assigned by a store manager
Requirements/Education
• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline
OR
1 year of experience in customer service or a similar role may be required
• Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
• English language ability is required
