Working Hours: 40hrs per week, 5days a week

Wage: $18.50~$20.50 per hour (depends on experience)

For the past two decades, Sweet Obsession has held the esteemed position of being Vancouver’s premier independent cake shop. Our commitment to using only the finest ingredients, including real butter, sets us apart from others, as we refrain from using any fillers, stabilizers, or preservatives in our products. We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Food Service Supervisor.

 

Main duties

• Provide training and guidance to new staff, demonstrating patience and a positive attitude during the process of delegating tasks
• Create and manage work schedules for the team
• Handle customer orders, complaints, and cash transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to guidelines
• Greet and welcome guests, ensuring professional conduct with both customers and fellow staff members on the shift
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation procedures while training the staff to follow the same protocols
• Keep records of inventory, including stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and place weekly orders accordingly
• Receive supplier orders and demonstrate the ability to lift and carry packages, chocolates, and other food items weighing between 30 to 50 pounds
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning
• Ensure food service and maintain quality control to meet company standards
• Prepare and submit required reports
• Organize food order summaries for the bakers to efficiently handle production

 

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• At least one-year supervisory experience in the food service/ coffee shop industry
• Flexible availability weekends, & holidays
