Excavator Operator

Job Title: Excavator Operator (NOC: 73400)

Employer: Birch Hill Construction

Location: 11 McElroy St, Moncton, NB E1C 9T2

Wage: 23/hr for 40 hrs per week

Vacancy: 3 vacancies

Terms of employment: Term or contract

Start Date: as soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Languages

·       English or French

Education

·       Minimum: Secondary Education diploma or GED

·       Apprenticeship training of less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Experience

·       At least 2 years to less than 3 years of work as an excavator operator or related field.

Duties:

·       Operate heavy equipment to move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.

·       Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways

·       Excavate rock, ore or other materials from open pit mines, strip mines, quarries or construction pits.

·       Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.

·       Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
