Description
Duties:
· Prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items of the South Asian cuisine;
· Plan menus for take-out, dine-in and catering lines of business;
· Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, Wok, etc.);
· Determine size of food portions;
· Supervise kitchen staff and helpers;
· Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of foods;
· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
· Clean kitchen and work areas.
Education: High school
Experience: 2+ years as East Indian or South Asian Cook
