Job Duties:
Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, & repair of low, medium & high voltage equipment in a
safe & efficient manner
• Commissioning, & start-up of low, medium, & high voltage equipment & apparatus associated with an
electrical power system
• Act as liaison with subcontractors & clients, develop customer service relationships
• Supervise/lead projects to ensure successful project execution according to company & client standards
• Provide mentorship to junior technologists & support to team members
• Ensure completion of technical reports & test sheets
• Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Tech’s Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual
Job Requirements:
Punctual
Team Player
Able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience drafting is an asset
• Experience with testing equipment (Omicron, Doble, etc.) & relay testing with various equipment (SEL,
GE, Siemens, ABB, etc.)
• Experience in substations
• Ability to understand & perform technically complex calculations
• Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ field experience
Education:
Diploma from recognized Electrical Engineering Technology Program
