Krka Power Inc. is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineering Technician

Job Duties

The successful applicant will perform the following duties:

• Provide technical support in the preparation of electrical system studies (i.e. short-circuit, coordination, arc flash) for HV/MV/LV systems as required;

• Perform harmonic and power quality analysis;
• Conduct power factor analysis;
• Assist in the design of electrical power systems on a per project basis;
• Assist in the protection and control design on a per project basis;
• Assist in the automation and control design on a per project basis;
• Assist in the arc flash mitigation design and implementation on a per project basis.

Skills Requirements

• Several years of electrical engineering technology or technician experience;
• Completion of post-secondary education in electrical or electronic engineering technology, computer engineering technology, or similar;
• Proficiency in English (oral, verbal and written);
• Previous experience providing technical support completing electrical studies;
• Ability to analyze electrical power systems from an arc flash point of view and determine means of mitigating the hazard and how to implement said means.

• The position requires travel through Ontario.

Wages

• $37.50 per hour ($78,000 per annum)

Terms of Employment

• 40 hours per week, permanent
