Working Hours: 40hrs per week
Wage: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Benefits: Extended health coverage after 6 month probation

We, Baby Steps Infant and Toddler Care, are a licensed childcare in Richmond for 0-36 months. We provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment so that children are free to discover and explore the world around them. We are looking for an energetic and reliable Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler.
Main duties:
• Set up for and engage children between 0-36 months in planned activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program.
• Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming
• Establish and maintain positive daily communication/interaction with families, providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships
• Ensure that all safety and supervision standards are maintained and in accordance with licensing regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality and to be appropriately dressed and well groomed Work with other staff to create an atmosphere of caring, growth, learning, stimulation, creativity and respect.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all information relating to the centre; children, families and employee’s
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Daycare Manager.
Education & Requirements:
• Completion of post-secondary with at least one to two years program in Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler and/or relevant education, experience and training
• Current First Aid Certificate and Criminal Record Check required
• Enthusiastic with children
• Well organized
• Excellent and effective communication skills in verbal and written Strong work ethic
