We are now seeking a loving, passionate, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will work alongside an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in providing care and education to children in their early years of development, typically between the ages of 0-6.

Job duties:

 

Assisting the ECE in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for the children, which may include reading, storytelling, playing games, arts and crafts, music, and physical activities.

 

Helping with the preparation and serving of snacks and meals, as well as cleaning up after meals and activities.

 

Assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for the children, which may include supervising them during playtime, changing diapers, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of toys and equipment.

 

Guiding and assisting children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

 

Providing emotional and social support to children, which may include comforting them when they are upset, helping them develop social skills, and teaching them how to interact positively with others.

 

Observing and documenting children's behavior and development, and sharing observations with the ECE to inform planning and decision-making.

 

Communicating with parents and families about their children's progress and needs, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

 

Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities where necessary

 

 

 

Qualification

 

A valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate

A clean Criminal Record Check

Good communication skills; spoken and written in English

Excellent interpersonal skills. Have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with students, families, and colleagues
