Job description:
• Use a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment to process and transmit information and instructions in order to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
• Send out personnel in accordance with written schedules and work orders, or as needed in emergency situations.
• Inform vehicle operators of route and traffic issues such as construction, accidents, congestion, weather, weight and size restrictions, and other information.
• Keep track of personnel workloads and locations.
• Keep accurate time sheets and payroll summaries and maintain vehicle operator work records using computerized or manual methods.
