Location: 4190 Hwy 1, Garlands Crossing, Windsor, Nova Scotia, B0N 2T0
Job duties:
- Responsible for the implementation, development and smooth operation of the Dim Sum Kitchen Operation
- Organize food production in a cost effective and hygienic manner
- Prepare menu in accordance with quality, availability and seasonality ingredients
- Instruct cooks in the cooking, garnishing and presentation of dim sum items
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products and ensure that food safety standards are met
- Assist in formulating, coordinating and supervising all menu planning and implementation in the Dim Sum Kitchen
- Ensure food standards and presentations are maintained and continuously improved
- Train new kitchen staff and assign job duties
Key Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of Chinese ingredients
- Proven work experience in Chinese cuisine cooking
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Reliable, flexible and hard-working
- Keen sense of taste and smell
- Interpersonal skills and team-building skills
Work hours: 40 to 48 hours a week
Wage: $18 to $20 per hour
Language: Basic English
