Position Information
• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $18.00 ~ 20.00/Hour (depending on experience)
• Government Wage Enhancement: $2.00 per hour
• Working Hour: 30 – 40 hrs/week
• Number of Positions: 1

Job Duties:
• Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the children
• Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques
• Evaluate the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and with management regularly
• Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards
• Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
• Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, toilet habits
• Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities
• Maintain policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies
• Attend staff meetings as directed by management
• Must be able to relate to children on their level, without losing sight of teaching objective
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management
Position Requirements:
• Experience: Experience as Early Childhood Educator in a child-care providing facilities is an asset.
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: Proficient level of English skills is required.
