Royal Stone specializes in the custom fabrication and installation of natural and engineered stone slabs for countertops, floors, walls, fireplaces, etc., for the residential and commercial market. We provide quality custom stone products along with full service interior renovations for kitchens, bathrooms, and more—across GTA and beyond. We focus on quality & high level of service for our clients.
 

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to work as the countertop installer. This is a physically demanding role. The ideal candidate needs to be able to lift and carry heavy items while being accurate and able to manoeuvre and place them without damaging surrounding items.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read drawing and templates to determine work required;
• Remove existing counter-tops in a clean manner;
• Perform installation of Granite, Quartz, Stone/ other Solid surface countertops on site;
• Fabricating/polishing countertop edges, sides, corner radius, angles and sink cut-outs;
• Grind, scrape, sand or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines;
• Level out counters/seams;
• Handle large pieces of stone Granite, Marble and Quartz;
• Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns in a professional manner;
• Ensure installations are done in a safe and timely manner;
• Attention to detail;
• Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably minimum 2 years of experience in countertop installation in residential and commercial environments
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads
• Experience using all stone tools and ability to operate various hand and power tools to complete projects
• Ability to solve problems if something were to occur
• Punctual and reliable
• Managing schedules to ensure the highest level of customer service
• Have an understanding of building systems, building science, commercial and residential construction practices, processes & techniques
• Successful history working in a fast paced environment
• Takes pride in the work and the finished product they deliver
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Location: In person, on the road, various locations

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, commensurate with skill set and performance.
