Our restaurant is located in Bella Coola town and fully serves a wide selection of food, such as Korean, Japanese, and Canadian-style cuisine. We are very popular in town. Now we are looking for experienced cooks who are willing to become our valued team members!

Position: 2 Full-time Cooks
Working Location: 441 Mackenzie Street, PO Box 949, Bella Coola, BC. V0T 1C0
Wage: $20.00 ~ $22.00 per hour (to be negotiated) and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year.
Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week.
Start date of Employment: ASAP
Responsibilities
– Set up a workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
– Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat and etc.)
– Cook complete various foods according to our recipe.
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies and intolerances.
– Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
– Check the quality of ingredients.
– Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards.
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
– Order and receive food supplies and equipment.
– Inspect kitchens and food services areas.
– Clean kitchen and workstation.
– Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
– Manage kitchen operations and inspection.
Requirements
– Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
– Experience: 2+ years of cooking experience or completion of other programs in cooking.
– Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, boiling etc.
– Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
– Good communication skills.
