Work Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in the position
Job Duties:
• Developing complete estimates on selected projects consisting of site visit, quantity take-offs, pricing, and presenting the estimate for review
• Preparing bid estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and proposals
• Collaborating with the project team and trades on estimate’s schedule development
• Coordinating project timelines and cost projections
• Coordinating with Engineers, Developers, City staff, and other professionals
• Fostering relationships with contracts and suppliers
• Assisting in presenting cost estimates to meet design expectations, providing consideration for general and special conditions
• Assisting in reviewing and analyzing contractor quotes for best value
• Compiling tender results and preparing summaries
• Participating in site meetings
Job Requirements:
What we’re looking for
• 1 year’s experience in Civil Project Coordination or related experience is an asset
• Construction site experience is an asset
• Degree or diploma in construction management, estimating or engineering is an asset (we welcome new or recent grads to apply)
• Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, plan reading, estimating, take-off and scheduling packages
• Experience using Bid 2 Win estimating software is a must
