Position: Construction helper

Number of positions: 2

Salary: $23.50/hour

Term of employment: Full-time (30 hours to 40 hours per week) and permanent position

Benefits: 

– 2 weeks paid vacation,

– private health care insurance until provincial health insurance is available,

– round trip transportation cost to the work location in Canada at the beginning of their work, and to return to the country of residence at the end of the work period

We are looking for two exceptional construction helpers to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support flooring installers by helping to move and position materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects,
  • Measure, cut, prepare for installment of hardwood floors
  • Load and unload flooring materials such as tiles, hardwood, laminate, and carpeting,
  • Assist in the set up and preparation of work areas, ensuring they are clean and organized
  • Assist in demolishing the old flooring,
  • Dispose old flooring materials,
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials,
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites,
  • Perform other activities at construction sites as directed.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

  • Repetitive tasks
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Physically fit to carry up to 100lbs.

Qualifications and personality suitability

  • Completion of high school
  • Experience is an asset
