The Company: Longsing is a dynamic and efficient real estate construction company and offer our clients professional and customized services.  We serve clients in north GTA, Lake Simco area and beyond. 

We  are looking for some hard-working individuals to join our team. 

The Position: Construction Helpers

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

Requirement:

•  Experience in dust containment;
•  Professional service & positive attitude provided to teams and clients;
• Knowledge of construction materials to finish materials;
•  Positive attitude and strong work ethic;
• A desire to learn on the job;
•  Reliable and adaptable;
•  Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
•  Construction experience is an asset;

• Blueprint reading is an asset ;
• High School Diploma, or equivalent or enrolment in an Apprenticeship Program

Compensation: $25-$30/hour

 Start Date: Immediately/Flexible Hours: Full-time and flexible hours.
