We are looking for a Conference Services Officer for our clients. You will be reporting to the head office address 1750 Finch Avenue East, North York, ON M2J 5G3, Canada. However, you will be required to work at various locations across the region.

JOB DUTIES:

Develop promotional strategies to increase awareness and attendance for the conference
among students.

Create social media campaigns, design posters and flyers, send out email newsletters, and collaborate with the College’s Marketing and Communications department to support campus promotions.

Handle the registration process for attendees, including creating registration forms, managing online registration systems, processing payments, and providing assistance to participants with registration inquiries or issues.

Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with various tasks before, during, and after the conference.

Assign roles, provide training and instructions, coordinate schedules, and ensure that volunteers are adequately supported throughout the event.

Assist with logistical arrangements such as venue booking, catering, audiovisual equipment setup, transportation, and accommodation for attendees and speakers.

Collaborate with relevant departments or organizations to ensure all logistical aspects are well-coordinated and executed smoothly.

Provide information and support to conference attendees before, during, and after the event.

Balance multiple corporate initiatives, including Voice of the Consumer, Vendor Promotions (Coke, Frito Lay), and local events.

Prepare and manage sampling/information tabling events at all 4 campuses frequently.

You may be required to perform other duties reasonably assigned by the company.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $30.14 to $33 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
