Child Caregiver – Private Home

We, the Plata Family are looking for a dependable and reliable Child Caregiver who will help us in looking after to our Children ages 9 & 3 

Job requirements 

Languages: English 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience 

Experience: Experience is an asset 

Security and Safety: Criminal record check 

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel regularly 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Overtime required 

Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home 

Work Site Environment: Scent free, Non-smoking

Additional Skills: 
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. 

Specific Skills 

Bathe, dress and feed children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Prepare children for rest periods, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children, Help children with homework. 

Start date: 2019-05-01 

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) 

Work Setting: Employer's home 

Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Salary: $14.00/hour 40 hours /wk overtime pay of $21.00/hr after 44 hours
