Full-time, Permanent

Educational Requirements:

-Minimum completion of secondary school is required

-Completion of training courses in ECE for the required certification

Job requirements:

– A valid ECE Level 1 Certificate

– First Aid Certificate

– A clear Criminal Record Check

– Experience is an asset

Language Requirements:

English

Start date:

ASAP

Compensation:

$19 ~ $21/hour (Depending on experience)

Hours:

30-40 hours per week

Vacation:

4% vacation pay

Duties:

• Support early childhood educators in conducting childcare programs to promote the physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional development of children
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• Assist children in eating correctly, dressing and appropriate toilet habits
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods
• Observe and report on children to educators or supervisors
• Assist educators or supervisors in keeping records
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Keep a healthy and safe environment for children
• Build good relationships and cooperate with other teachers and staff working with children
