Mahogany Scholars Preschool is hiring F/T Child Care Workers.

Educational Requirements:
-Minimum completion of secondary school is required
-Completion of training courses in ECE for the required certification
Job requirements:
– A valid ECE Level 1 Certificate
– First Aid Certificate
– A clear Criminal Record Check
– Experience is an asset
Language Requirements:
English
Start date:
ASAP
Compensation:
$19 ~ $21/hour (Depending on experience)
Hours:
30-40 hours per week
Vacation:
4% vacation pay

Duties:
- Support early childhood educators in conducting childcare programs to promote the physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional development of children
- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
- Assist children in eating correctly, dressing and appropriate toilet habits
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods
- Observe and report on children to educators or supervisors
- Assist educators or supervisors in keeping records
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Keep a healthy and safe environment for children
- Build good relationships and cooperate with other teachers and staff working with children
