Seaway Paper and Pulp Ltd. is a trailblazing force in the industry, leading the way in trading and international logistic solutions for recycled materials, with a strong focus on scrap paper. Our operational framework encompasses worldwide sourcing, marketing, sales, document generation, logistics management, and post-sales support. Currently, our company's business suppliers and purchasers are across Canada, the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia, with tens of thousands of shipments to different countries in the world each year. As our business continues to expand, we urgently need a Chief Operating Officer to unify and manage the coordination of our global operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and set strategic objectives for the company's operations to reach the goals and efficiently operate.
  2. Establish controls over finances and administration; develop and authorize promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  3. Authorize and oversee the establishment of senior staff in of the Operations Department, Finance Department, Sales Department, Logistics Department, and Documentation Department to support the company's operations effectively.
  4. Allocate suppliers and purchasers in different countries and continents, as well as material, human, and financial resources to implement company policies and programs efficiently.
  5. Represent the company in negotiations with suppliers, purchasers, quality inspection agencies, and handle major customer complaints and global emergencies.
  6. Select and approve department managers in the main office, as well as approve key staff in essential positions and assign major staff to the United States, South America, Asia, and Europe working place.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree is required
  2. At least two years of management experience in the scrap recycling industry
  3. Familiar with global trade and logistics.
  4. Outstanding time management, organizational, and project management skills demonstrated through results.
  5. Highly skilled in oral, writing, and interpersonal communications; demonstrated communication and influencing skills with peers and senior leaders.
  6. Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships both internally and externally at all levels.
  7. Mandarin is an asset

$53.00/hour, 30 hours per week
