Position: Full-time Maintenance Carpenter (Code #72310)

Vacancies: 3

Main Duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirement:

• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Work Experience: Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program OR over four years of work experience in the trade, particularly in the construction field.

Wage: $30.00 ~ $32.00 per hour

Working Condition: 30-40 hours per week. 10 days paid vacation per year or 4 % of vacation pay.

Working Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland
