Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20~$23/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 5673 200 street, Langley, BC V3A 1M7

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Create and implement childcare programs that foster children's physical, mental, emotional, and social growth
• Organize activities by reading or telling stories, teaching songs, taking children to neighbourhoods, and giving them the chance to express their creativity through painting, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
• Create and maintain a setting that promotes children's safety, health, and well-being
• Assess children's skills, interests, and needs, and talk with parents and other staff members about any issues that arise
• Prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors after observing kids for indications of probable learning or behaviour issues
• Encourage and help children develop healthy eating, clothing, and toileting habits
• Create and uphold cooperative relationships with colleagues and the community

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
