We are looking for well experienced Beverage Taster and Buyer for a well-known “CANOE RESTAURANT” located at 66 Wellington St. W, TD Bank Tower, 54th Floor, Toronto, ON M5K 1H6 Canada.

Job Duties:

• Purchase merchandise for resale by retail or wholesale establishments.
• Assess the needs of the establishment, considering factors like customer preferences, seasonal trends, and inventory levels.
• Choose merchandise that aligns with the establishment's requirements, market trends, and customer preferences.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior by studying market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials.
• Communicate with suppliers, conduct interviews, and negotiate terms such as prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
• Ensure the efficient distribution of merchandise to retail outlets, maintaining adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth communication, negotiate better deals, and stay informed about product availability.
• May supervise the work of other retail buyers.

Prerequisites:

Education:                           College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent                                                      experience

Experience & Skills:        1 year to less than 2 years of experience.

Language:                        English

Hourly Rate: $ 30.00 to $ 33.00 per Hour for 30 to 44 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
