Mother Cocktail Bar is currently looking for someone who is an accomplished mixologist, who has excellent customer service skills, a strong leadership ability, and multitasking ability to join our team and help us meet our customers’ demands.

Position: Bar Manager

Number of positions available: 1

Work Hours:  40 hours per week

Wage: $22.00/hour

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Work Location: 874 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M6J 1G3, Canada

Key duties and responsibilities

• Creates new cocktail recipes and drink menus.
• Maintains drink recipe documentation.
• Establishes beverage menu costs.
• Demonstrates beverage service techniques and bar equipment to new bar staff.
• Determines the bar staff schedule and evaluates bar staff performance.
• Addresses any customer complaints and/or concerns about the bar service.
• Trains new bar staff in preparation and presentation of cocktails and other beverages.
• Organize and maintains the bar inventory.
• Maintains and analyze the bar budget, monitors supply costs and revenues and aims to increase sales.
• Ensures that any provincial liquor legislation and regulations are in place.
• Ensures that all health and safety regulations are followed.
• Deals with food and beverage suppliers.
• Recruiting and training of bar staff.
• Any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

Job requirements:

• Several years of previous work experience in the same or a directly related job position.
• Completion of a college certificate or diploma program in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to be constantly standing and walking throughout shift, and to do occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and ascending or descending stairs and ramps.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong leadership ability, attention to detail, excellent multi-tasking ability, customer service and organizational skills, fast-paced environment, work under pressure.
