Keyto Your Heart Bakery is Ottawa's first fully Keto Gluten Free Grain Free and Sugar Free Bakery. We are a family owned and operated business in the heart of Downtown Ottawa. Our mission is to create baked goods that are both healthy and delicious.

We're looking for an experienced and hard-working Baker who is ready to take on a new challenge. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, a passion for baking tasty pastries and a good knowledge about Keto Gluten Free Baking. Clear communication and the ability to multitask are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily production and selling of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
• Ensure recipes and Keto Gluten free baking standards are followed, costs of food are controlled and appropriate quantities are prepared based on the production needs.
• Help plan and implement seasonal menu and provide input on creating new menu items.
• Decorate cakes, cupcakes and various dessert items using buttercream, ganache or icing.
• Adhere to proper food handling guidlines and saftey protocols.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workspace by tiding the kitchen, washing dishes, organizing stock, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces and any other duties needed
• Must be capable of working independently. i.e morning shifts, meeting customers and collect payments by accepting cash or operating the POS system.

Requirements:

• Ability to follow recipes and adjust them suit different products and customer needs.
• Attention to details and maintain high standards of quality.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• 2 years or more of experience as a baker in a commercial bakery is an asset.
• Knowledge of Keto & Gluten Free Baking techniques is an asset.
• Familiarity with natural sweeteners, flours and other ingredients used in the Keto Gluten Free Baking is an asset.
• The ability to communicate in French is an asset.
