Location:  469 Bouchard Street, Sudbury, ON

Job duties:

• Measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, filling, or icings, using scales or graduated containers
• Bake Canadian style pies, cakes and desserts from scratch
• Bake European style desserts, tarts and general pastry
• Bake various breads, puff pastry, crepes, pancakes and waffles
• Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking
• Adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment
• Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods
• Evaluate quality of food ingredients and baked goods
• Maintain inventory and order supplies
• Check equipment to ensure it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary
• Develop new recipes for baked goods

• Excellent knowledge of all kind of pastries ingredients
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Excellent with cake decoration techniques
• Creativity in crafting new pastries
• Interpersonal skills and team-building skills

Work hours:       40 to 44 hours a week

Language:          English

Experience:       Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
