Location: 1151 Gorham Street, Suite 8, Newmarket, ON
Starting date: As soon as possible
Job Title: Awning Installer
Hours and Wages: 25.00-31.25/hour, 30-40 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret blueprints and work orders in preparation for installation.
- Accurately measure and mark guidelines to ensure error-free work.
- Prepare work area prior to installation.
- Carefully install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior products to maintain durability and functionality.
- Thoroughly test and calibrate products to ensure accurate operation.
- Offer friendly and professional customer service for customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory management and strict material and tool accountability practices.
- Conduct thorough quality control check of products.
- Transport supplies from truck to jobsite, and vice versa.
- Use hand, power tools, and specialized equipment to accomplish tasks quickly and accurately.
- Report to supervisor and receive orders.
- Additional tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members and demonstrate strong independent problem-solving skills.
Previous experience:
- You must have completed high school/secondary school.
- Fluent English is required
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar position and environment is required
- Experience with motorized, mechanical, or electronic products is required.
- You must be able to lift up to 50kg.
- Attention to detail in both the work and in customer service is required.
- Experience working outside in noisy, fast-paced environments.
- You must be able to handle repetitive movements of standing, sitting, etc.
- Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Bring your own tools and safety equipment/gear, safety boots, hard hat, or other equipment.
