Description
Enders Farm Ltd. of Manning, Alberta requires a full time Grain Farm Foreman to perform the following duties on their grain farm:
– Supervise , train & coordinate work of seasonal workers;
– Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations;
– Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting;
– Operate & maintain farm equipment & machinery (irrigation equipment, seeder, combine, sprayers, tractors, planter);
– Develop work schedules and establish procedures;
– Maintain quality control and production records;
– Stone and/or wood picking & Hoeing crops;
– Perform some general farm duties
Requirements:
– At least 2 years of relevant experience on a grain farm
– Completion of secondary education
– Ability to supervise
– Valid driver’s license; able to drive manual transmission
– Ability to handle a physically demanding job
Compensation: $20-22/hr depending on experience for 40-50 hours of work per week (some overtime hours may be required during peak periods)
