Location: Abbotsford, BC

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: $30.00/hour for 40 hours/week

Vacancies: 01

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Location: Various location across lower mainland and Vancouver

 

We are eagerly looking for welder to join our dynamic team. As welder, the candidate must perform the following job duties.

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage the machines used for manufacturing and repairing metal structures, tools and equipment
  • Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layouts and procedures
  • Use specialized machinery for welding
  • Follow strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks and safety shoes
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (flat, vertical and overhead positions)
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover any imperfections
  • Cuts workpiece, using powered saws, hand shears or chipping knife
  • Coordinate with other workers for efficient installations
  • Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look

 

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of Secondary school is required

• Experience: related two to three years of experience or Completion of a apprenticeship program is required.

Language: Basic English is a requirement

 

Other Skills:

  • Willing and able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift upto 50lbs
  • Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment and manual tools
  • Experience working on construction sites and with power tools
