Position Info:

• Position: Tile Installer
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $25.00~$30.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 518 Whiting Way, Coquitlam, BC, V3J 0H7

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered.
• Construct underbeds and install anchor bolts, cables and brackets.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel.
• Place tiles in position and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
• Install tile strips.
• Use levels, squares and straightedges to align and straighten tiles.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting equipment.
• Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• May prepare cost estimates and orders.

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of experience in the related industry is required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Language: English
