Job Description:
This company is currently hiring 1 full-time permanent Transportation Manager to join their team in Surrey, British Columbia as soon as possible.
Job Duties:
• Organize and control the operations of a transportation company.
• Determine the safety procedures for handling of dangerous goods, and ensure compliance with transport regulations to drivers.
• Oversee dispatch of Long and short Haul Trucks.
• Control the company budget, including preparing reports for the management.
• Set performance goals, oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
• Prepare the changes plan to schedule and policies.
• Recruit and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, trainings and promotions.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and insurance company representatives for services and preferential rates.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in related field is mandatory.
