Kanman Logistics, Inc. located at 12 Kerrigan Drive, Brampton, ON L6R 0S4 is a licensed freight shipping and trucking company running freight hauling business through all Canada and the United States. Kanman Logistics requires Transportation Logistics Supervisor for a permanent, full-time position to supervise operations and long-haul truck drivers.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
⮚ At least a high school certificate
⮚ At least 1 years of supervisory position
⮚ Ability to supervise between 5-10 transport operators/contractors and employees
⮚ Knowledge of electronic scheduler, dispatch management service software, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows
⮚ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines; demonstrate initiative, be highly organized, accurate, flexible, with excellent written and oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills; be client focused, a team player, and highly reliable
⮚ Criminal record check
⮚ Be able to work as per schedule indicated below

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
As our transportation logistics supervisor, you would:
⮚ Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of transportation department, which includes between 5-10 transport operators/contactors and employees
⮚ Communicate with the drivers and ensure that the goods are loaded as per the requirements
⮚ Work closely with the safety and compliance department to ensure safety compliance requirements are met for long-haul trucking industries
⮚ Prepare and submit reports
⮚ Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of drivers to establish and maintain transportation route and crew scheduling
⮚ Ensure proper transportation of the goods
⮚ Establish work schedules and procedures
⮚ Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
⮚ Arrange for maintenance and repair work on vehicles and other machinery
⮚ Resolve work-related problems amongst drivers and with clients
⮚ Train drivers regarding their duties, safety procedures and company policies, or arrange training for staff, if required
⮚ Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the company, and
⮚ Schedule transportation crews and routes and other related activities

HOURS AND WAGES
This is a permanent, full-time position, between 40 to 44 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every second Saturday and alternating Sundays. Occasional overtime may be required. Hourly rate is $24.04 per hour.
