Thornloe Cheese in Thornloe, Ontario is now hiring 1 experienced Full-Time cheese maker!
Thornloe Cheese has produced a respected brand of cheese products in Northern Ontario for over 71 years! Our secret to success is old-fashioned cheese making techniques and fresh milk produced in this unique agricultural area.
Job Description:
· Produce cheese according to production schedule, ensure recipe is followed and required specifications are met
· Record production information
· Clean machines and immediate work areas, and ensure proper sanitization of production room, equipment and utensils
· Receive incoming milk when required
· Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities
· Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products
· Maintain shift log of production and other data
· Check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards \
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Please note that this role involves a lot of Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of High School
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Language: Basic English is acceptable (enough to carry out duties safely)
Wage: $18.36/hourly
