Sushiwood is looking for F/T Chef.

Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $17.31~$23/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook foods of all types, either regularly or for special guests or functions.

·         Maintain records of food costs, sales, and inventory

·         Purchase kitchen supplies and ingredients

·         Manage and train kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners promptly

·         Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards

·         Recruit and hire staff included cooks and other kitchen workers

·         Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies such as food and ingredients

·         Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen staffs

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience as a chef are required.

·         Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.

·         Language: English
