Position Info:

• Position: Restaurant Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $16.75~$19.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  3
• Work Location: A-1221, 7th avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Oversee the operations of the kitchen
• Prepare and cook whole meals or specific dishes
• Supervise and schedule kitchen helpers
• Organize and maintain food inventories and records of food, supplies, and equipment  
• Order supplies for the kitchen
• Clean and sanitize food prep areas, kitchen, and kitchen appliances
• Recruit and train new kitchen staff as required
• May develop menus, determine food portions, and estimate the cost of food

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Language: English
