Position Info:

• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00~$26.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 3107 32nd Street, Vernon, BC V1T 5M6

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Plan new menu items, regulate size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and purchase supplies.
• Participate in the process of recruiting and hiring personnel for the kitchen staff
• Ensure that the kitchen and food service areas are properly sanitized and supervise the work environment
• Keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and maintain accurate records
• Instruct new staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Oversee kitchen staff and helpers

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Language: English
