Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20~$23/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 19 Helmcken Road suite 135, View Royal BC V8Z 5G5

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions
• Maintain records of food costs, sales, and inventory
• Purchase kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Manage and train kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners in a timely manner
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers
• Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients
• Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen staff

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
