Description

Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20~$23/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 19 Helmcken Road suite 135, Victoria BC V8Z 5G5

Benefits:

·         10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions

·         Maintain records of food costs, sales, and inventory

·         Purchase kitchen supplies and ingredients

·         Manage and train kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners in a timely manner

·         Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards

·         Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers

·         Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients

·         Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen staff

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
