Sushi California is seeking F/T Restaurant Cooks (Japanese Sushi Cooks).

Position Info:

• Position: Restaurant Cook (Japanese Sushi Cook)
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $17.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 388 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1R2

Job Duties:

• Prepare, cook, and serve complete meals according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, quality, and service standards.
• Make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad, and combination sushi.
• Estimate and plan food portions and food requirements.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen staff.
• May assist in hiring and recruitment of new staffs.
• May clean sushi bar/kitchen and work area.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Order ingredients, supplies and equipment as required.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage kitchen operations.

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Language: English
