Position Info:

• Position: Restaurant Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $25.00~$27.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 115-1199 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC V7J 3H2

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare entire meals using provided restaurant recipes
• Engage in menu planning, manage portions, estimate food needs and costs
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Perform inventory checks and place orders for supplies and equipment
• Inspect the kitchens and food service areas
• Recruit and hire kitchen staff if needed
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper handling procedures
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
