Supermarket department supervisor (1 vacancy)
Terms of Employment:
Permanent, Full Time
Salary:
$23.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week

Skill Requirements:
– Education: No formal education required
– Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
– Languages: Written and Oral English
Specific Skills:
• Supervise and coordinate supermarket staff
• Assign supermarket workers to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply
shortages
• Maintain specified inventory and order food and products for sale
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new supermarket staff and monitor and report
on performance
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the stupermaket are maintained, such as
displays, signage and cleanliness
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised
• May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing
the supermarket, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies.
