We have an opening for Specialty Foods Baker (63202) (Sweet Maker – East Indian Sweets) at our “Royal Indian Buffet & Sweets” restaurant (2543081 Ontario Inc) located at 525 Hespeler Road, Suite Unit # 4, Cambridge, ON N1R 6J2. A fast-paced environment for a team-oriented person. Responsibilities will include preparing sweets for in restaurant and take out while following all food safety guidelines and product standards.

We operate in a safe environment and follow all protocols to keep our team and guests safe. These protocols include barriers, masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer just to name a few.

Job requirements
Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

Cuisine: East Indian

Job Duties:

  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Prepare special orders
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Prepare East Indian sweets according to the recipes
  • Able to supervise kitchen staff to ensure sweets are made according to standards
