EKIBA Packaging and Supplies Co Ltd. in Coquitlam is looking for a Specialty food buyer to join our team.
Title: Specialty food buyer

Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 24.00 – CAD 25.00 per hour
Working hours: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation
Location: Suite 3, 1850 Hartley Avenue, Coquitlam, British Columbia V3K 7A1
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Previous buyer experience in related field is required.
Main Duties:
- Determine the type and quantity of specialty foods to buy
- Select specialty foods such as wasabi, soy sauce, candies and nori that fit the budget and purchasing requirements
- Meet with suppliers and negotiate transportation arrangements, prices, discounts, and credit terms
- Oversee and manage the distribution of goods to outlets
- Select the merchandise which best fits the company’s quality and quantity requirements
- Maintain the required stock levels
- Establish and maintain contact with suppliers
